Burns Gift Shop was founded in 1935, in downtown Sumter, South Carolina as Burns Hardware Store. Burns Gift Shop was added to bring fine giftware, home accessories, and bridal china and crystal to the Sumter area. The original hardware store was closed and the Burns Gift Shop was moved to the current location at 532 Bultman Drive, University Center, in Sumter, in 1984, and is currently owned and operated by Ron Flax.

Shipping Information:
Merchandise is shipped by UPS in the continental United States only, and is shipped immediately (if in stock) upon receipt of payment. Special orders (non-stock items) will be shipped as soon as available. Notifications will be sent to recipients regarding status of all orders.
Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies:
Cancellations must be made before shipment of purchases, otherwise merchandise may be refused and the total cost of merchandise will be refunded, less shipping costs when received back at the Gift Store.
Returned merchandise will be subject to a 25% restocking charge, and the purchaser will be responsible for all shipping charges.
If merchandise is damaged upon receipt, recipient is responsible for filing a claim with UPS carrier for the merchandise and shipping charges. Burns Gift Shop will pay for insurance to cover all shipments out of the store, but it will be the recipients responsibility to file any necessary claims.
